STARTERS AND LIGHT MEALS


Smoked salmon served with salad and local crusty granary bread

New Zealand green lip mussels in a creamy white wine, garlic and herb sauce served with bread

Deep-fried scampi, calamari and filo prawns with homemade tartar sauce and salad

Deep fried breaded brie with a cranberry, orange and port sauce served with salad and bread

Deep-fried whitebait with homemade tartar sauce, salad and bread

Baked crab, lime, coriander, mild chilli, crème fraiche and parmesan on soda bread with salad & dip

Corn on the cob in a rich Punjabi mild spiced onion and yogurt sauce with salad garnish

Homemade smoked mackerel, lemon and horseradish pate served with toast

Homemade stilton cheese, herb and walnut pate served with toast

Homemade houmous with roasted cumin, chickpeas, paprika and garlic oil served with pitta bread

Platter of dips, olives, prosciutto ham, sundried tomatoes and breads (large enough to share!)

Homemade traditional Irish Beef Carbonnade (casseroled in stout) served with mashed potatoes

Pork Stroganoff in a creamy dill, mustard, soured cream and mushroom sauce with rice

Traditional Coq- au- vin (chicken cooked in brandy, red wine, bacon and mushrooms) with mash

Baked butternut squash stuffed with minced Lamb, tomato, cumin, couscous and feta with salad

English lamb’s liver, onion and bacon served on mashed potato with onion gravy

Scottish Rib-eye steak served with fresh vegetables...............plain

OR with Montpellier butter (herb and mustard) OR with creamy green peppercorn & brandy sauce

Trio of local traditional sausages on a bed of mashed potato with onion gravy

Mogul Chicken Dopiaza curry (med-hot, using authentic spices) with rice, mango and naan bread

Homemade 8oz “Bat” Beef burger, cheese, skins & our own smoked roasted pepper and tomato relish

Natural smoked Haddock, prawn and egg pie with a mashed potato top served with vegetables

Grilled Sardines topped with chopped olives, parsley, garlic and orange zest - salad and crusty bread

Moroccan spiced baked Talapia (firm, flaky white fish fillet) on sweet potato & ginger mash – salad

Spinach and mushroom Korma (mild curry made with coconut milk) served with rice and nann bread

Baked Aubergine stuffed with tomatoes, basil, capers, garlic and mozzarella served with salad
